They asked every day if there were books about him at the library. There weren’t. So I did something wild: I started writing them myself.Every bedtime became “Optimus Time.”Snuggled in bed, my kids giggled through stories I made up about them and Optimus. Then, I picked up a set of Winsor watercolors and started painting the scenes. They’d wake up to full illustrations waiting on my desk.
